Somewhere out there, there's a study which demonstrated that the personal net worth of US Senators increased at a far greater rate than the personal NW of US citizens as a whole.
Obviously, not all of that increase is due to shenanigans--but knowing the impact of upcoming legislation on various industries cannot hurt...
