A 15-year-old boy was severely beaten by four to five males about 1:50 p.m. near a bus stop at 1st and Center Sts., according to Milwaukee police.The youth died about 3 p.m., police said. The victim was a seventh-grader at Malcolm X Academy, according to Phil Harris, a Milwaukee Public Schools spokesman.

OH MY...Tim, I read your email and my heart just sank...again all I could do was think of Keaton,Ian and Kiefer.... and how Haley had been beaten and had to get stitches. It's like there is a fog laying over Milwaukee... last time I was there, I could just feel it. Sometimes I wonder if all this political mean-spiritedness isn't just infecting our country. The last time I visited Milwaukee, which used to be so clean, it was just filthy - the gangs seem to be taking over. It's not a place I would like to live anymore. it's like the city is dying.
